Winchester Model 42 Pump .410 Shotgun. This is a very nice used M-42 manufactured, according to serial number, in the very early 1950s. The gun shows some bluing wear on the edges from being carried and also some minor rubs and scratch marks here and there on the receiver and on the barrel. The wood is standard grade with a nice straight grain that shows some compression marks from use. All in all it is a nice early standard grade M-42, without rib, that rates around Very Good using the NRA modern firearm scale, in our opinion, with about 80% or better for bluing and wood finish. We have not fired this shotgun. A gunsmith should be consulted before loading and firing, but all mechanics appear to work properly and smoothly with no problems noted during a physical inspection. This shotgun has been used little, if at all, for several years. Transfer to the winning bidder will be done through an FFL licensed dealer.
