Winchester Model 70 .30Gov't06 S/N 41249 Customized high quality sporting rifle chambered in .30-06 Government, circa 1942. Features a blued finish, 24" tapered barrel, ramped blade front sight, dual folding leaf rear sights, side mounted Griffin & Howe scope base with Lyman Alaskan 2.5x scope, Lyman side mounted adjustable rear sight base, jeweled bolt, serrated trigger, hinged floorplate, checkered bolt handle, flush mount swivel studs,quick release sling swivels, brown leather sling, safety switch on bolt, and hand checked select grade walnut pistol grip shoulder stock with custom forend tip & checkered metal buttplate. Rifleretains approximately 97% strong bluing on barrel & receiver with heavy fading on floorplate, trigger guard, pistol grip cap & buttplate.
