Winchester Model Hi Wall Musket, .45-70 caliber, 32” round barrel, S/N 69264, blued finish, wood stocks with three barrel bands and sling swivels; iron cleaning rod. This very scarce Winchester is in overall very good condition displaying a dark patina on metal surfaces, very good bore, crisp action, sharp markings and very good wood stocks; accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum Records Office “white sheet” indicating gun was shipped on March 27, 1895 to order number 8080 and confirming Model and caliber; also a copy of p. 298 of Madis’ book on Winchesters mentioning this gun by serial number.
