The Winchester Model 99, also known as the Winchester Thumb Trigger Model, is an American single-shot bolt-action rifle designed by Thomas Grey Bennett in 1904 and produced by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company from 1904 to 1923. Designed during the period of the "boy's rifle", the Model 99 was a cheap and inexpensive rifle meant for young boys or for those with disabilities regarding their hands. The trigger was located behind the cocking piece and activated using the thumb when held at aim. 18" barrel with fixed sights, bore is overall good/bright with some areas of very light pitting, the action works well. finish has turned a brown patina with scattered pin-prick pitting, wood is good/sound with minor scratches/dings, handling wear with finish loss, original factory hard rubber buttplate.
