Wm. Evans Side by Side Double rifle from the Robert E. Petersen collection, 400/360 Nitro caliber, Serial #15310. The rifle is in fine overall condition with 26” barrels. The barrel address reads, “WILLIAM EVANS. 63 PALL MALL ST., ST. JAMES, LONDON.” The chopper lump barrels retain nearly all their blue finish with a turnover front sight with ivory insert and two-leaf rear sight. The receiver has gone to grey with 90% coveragein beautiful scroll engraving. The rifle features the famous Webley long bar action which is tight on face. Additionally, the rifle has ejectors and bushed strikers. The finely checkered wood stock is in very goodcondition with nice figure to the grain, a beaded cheek piece and small mars from field use. The pistol grip has an engraved cap and the butt ends with a checkered, engraved steel butt plate providing a 15 1/8” LOP tothe front trigger. The bores are very good to nearly excellent, the action is crisp and tight on face and the markings are sharp. This is a truly outstanding double from a top London maker in a great caliber from the

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
