.45 caliber, 5& #34; barrel, S/N 379164. Two piece diamond checkered walnut grips. Marked & #34;UNITED STATES PROPERTY & #34; on the left side of the frame with sub inspectors initials. Retaining most of the black finish with some little wear to the high edges. Grips are excellent. All original parts.
This pistol was the property of a Lt Ralph R.C. Allison who was a Lt in the U.S. Army from 1916 to 1919. He more than likely took possession pof this pistol in 1918. Accompany this pistol is a notarized document from the person the pistol was purchased from. A excellent 1911 Black Army belonging to Lt Ralph R.C. Allison.
