This incredible, and almost certainly, unique trip offers an immersive experience in the heart of Africa, combining wildlife conservation, sustainable hunting practices and community engagement. The winning bidders will arrive on day one and depart on day 8. In between, you will have the experience of a lifetime Ð on day one you will arrive in Beira and then in the Mungari camp, where you will receive a special welcome and join a discussion on conservation, sustainable use and the benefits of hunting while settling in. Day two is a day of exploring the wilderness and learning the history of Coutada 11 and the ZDS operation. On day three you will hunt and harvest a reedbuck with guidance from your professional hunter and observe the skinning of your harvested animal. Day four offers a full day of Conservation Science instruction, tracking lions, cheetah and pangolins and a discussion on the benefits of science-based wildlife management. On day five you will get instruction on meat processing, an in-person explanation of community projects and a visit to the community projects with Coutada 11. Day 6 is your culinary experience - you will prepare meals with chef Barbara and enjoy the fruits of your efforts that evening, with each course paired with the perfect wine. Day seven is your hands-on collaring experience where you will participate in the sedation of a lion or cheetah for scientific purposes, learn about the amazingly successful reintroduction of wild lions and have an evening chat about the role of big cats in a balanced eco-system. Day eight begins with a reflection on your experience before your flight back to Beira. AUCTION RULES AND PROCEDURES
1. SHIPPING & amp; FFL TRANSFERS
A. Firearms will be transferred to winners within two weeks of the receipt of the
winner’s designated FFL holder and that FFL holder’s contact information.
ZDCF’s selected FFL licensee. ZDCF will contact the winner of any firearm to
make transfer arrangements. Firearms will be shipped at buyer’s expense.
B. Non-firearm hard items will be sent via mail or delivery service to the auction
winner’s designated address.
C. Certificates for all intangible items (hunts, trips, etc.) and ammunition will be
emailed to winners. These certificates will include donor contact information
as well as item details.
2. PAYMENT
After the winning bidder has been confirmed, payment will be processed
using the registered card on file with the online auction company. Payment
will be required immediately, unless prior arrangements have been made.
3. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
GOODS: All goods in the live auctions have been acquired or obtained from third
parties. The high bidder acknowledges that the goods have not been inspected by
ZDCF and is advised, in the case of firearms, knives, bullets or other weapons to
secure a competent inspection and test of the goods before use. GOODS ARE
SOLD “AS IS” WITH ALL FAULTS AND DEFECTS, AND WITHOUT ANY
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THE PART OF ZDCF. ZDCF
MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
OR MERCHANTABILITY, AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM THE SAME.
ZDCF does not accept any responsibility or liability for any product, design, or use.
Any written warranties with respect to the goods delivered to the purchaser are those
solely of the manufacturer or their agents and shall be the sole liability and
responsibility of the manufacturer. All firearms obtained for this event will be
transferred in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
SERVICES: All services (hunts or otherwise) in the live auctions, silent auctions
and raffles have been acquired from and are to be furnished by third parties and
contain the same reservation set forth under “GOODS” above.
SERVICES ARE SOLD “AS IS” WITH ALL FAULTS AND DEFECTS, AND
WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THE PART OF
ZDCF. ZDCF MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR MERCHANTABILITY, AND EXPRESSLY
DISCLAIMS THE SAME. No services are to be or will be performed by ZDCF
and ZDCF shall bear no responsibility for the delivery or quality of any of the
services or for any loss or damages arising from or related to or connected with the
performance or non-performance of such services. The high bidder further
acknowledges that in the event services are purchased, ZDCF cannot be responsible
for or liable for any political unrest, pandemic, instability, travel restrictions,
lockdowns and quarantine requirements that may occur inside or outside the confines
of the United States, nor can ZDCF be accountable for any injuries or damages that
may arise there from. The high bidder further acknowledges that his/her purchase is
final and non-refundable under any and all circumstances, and that should legal
action be required to collect for the services acquired by the high bidder at the
auction, ZDCF shall be entitled to all reasonable attorney’s fees, cost of court and
interest as provided by law.
4. CHARITABLE DEDUCTION QUALIFICATIONS
Zambeze Delta Conservation Foundation is a charitable organization operating
under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
Donations to the Foundation are deductible as allowed under Section 170(c) of the
Internal Revenue Code.
5. AUCTION REFUND/CREDIT POLICY
Disputes regarding auction items purchased during the ZDCF 2025 Online Auction
shall be submitted to the ZDCF Board in writing and shall detail the basis for the
dispute and the grounds supporting a refund. The ZDCF Board may, in its sole
discretion, approve an auction credit for the amount paid, deny relief, or, in
extraordinary circumstances, approve a refund of the amount paid. Without
limitation, credits or refunds will not be given if the auction winner is unable to
utilize the purchased item in the time described in the auction description due to
illness, work conflicts, personal or family conflicts or death(s), travel delays or
cancellations or any other similar matters affecting the auction buyer that are outside
of the control of ZDCF. ZDCF auction credit policy will not apply to any auction
item for which the Donor and Buyer alter or vary the terms set forth for the item in
the auction catalog or any other description of the auction item prepared and/or
disseminated by ZDCF. If a refund or credit is approved by the ZDCF Board for any
auction item, the proceeds of which are to be paid to or split with any third-party
beneficiary, the refund or credit will not exceed the net amount allocable to ZDCF
for such item. All credit or refund decisions are within the sole discretion of the
ZDCF Board. All Board decisions are final.
Bidding will end on Lot 1 at 4:00 pm on January 25, 2025, and for Lots thereafter, at
two minute intervals, until the final Lot is closed.
