Antique 1850's W.A. Beckwith British Engraved Over/Under Percussion Dual Hammer Pistol
Manufactured circa 1850's in London. This antique over under pistol features 4" octagon barrels with rear notch and small brass blade front sight. Top flat of the barrel is stamped "W.A. BECKWITH LONDON". Bottom left side of the barrel is stamped with the East India Co cartouche and The London Proof house cartouche. Dual hammer percussion action with dual triggers. Likely a .66 Caliber by measurements, but is not marked on the pistol. A captive ramrod on a swivel underneath the barrels swing out to use in either barrel. Floral scroll engraved hammers, receiver and trigger guard. Pocket style pistol with right side belt clip. Beautiful tiger oak like stock with a silver floral engraved inlaid diamond with initials "TJB". A beautiful depiction of art from the mid 19th century. CALIBER: 66 Cal. S/N: n/a. CONDITION
The overall condition is very good for its age. Gray patina with a few pitting spots. The grip is solid with only a few faint scratches. Dark bores. Mechanics work smoothly.
