Our world-renowned Arizona mountain lion hunts are fast-paced adventures behind the best lion dogs in the West! Watching a knowledgeable mountain lion guide work his hounds for you in the Arizona backcountry is an unforgettable experience. Hunting Mountain lions off mules or horses (if you’re comfortable) is a great way to increase the likelihood of your success. Our guided lion hunts are conducted on large tracts of public or private land, well off the grid, in some of Arizona’s most beautiful country totaling over 13 million acres. Our extensive list of contacts will alert us to lions on occasion too. Ranchers call upon us when a calf has been predated upon, and game wardens will put us on an elk or deer kill from time to time as well. Ultimately, we will hunt wherever and whenever provides you with the best chance of harvesting a big tom during your unforgettable Arizona mountain lion hunt. An Arizona mountain lion hunt is a popular over the counter (OTC) option. Upon arrival to Arizona, your guide will tell you where to purchase your hunting license and Arizona lion tag before your hunt at one of many hunting license retailers throughout the state. Our lion season is approximately 9 months long and since tags are available over the counter, it’s easier than ever to join us in lion country!

Guide Profile: Professional Hounds man and guide, Mike Harris, has been part of the Diamond Outfitters family for nearly 15 years. Mike hunts all the iconic species of Arizona and Sonora, MX, but nothing compares to Mike’s passion for running his hounds on lions and bears. Over the years, Mike has established himself as one of North America’s most successful lion outfitters on public, private and tribal lands.
This hunt is for 1 hunter, for 5 days with 1 guide. Non-hunters may be added at $200/day. Included in this hunt are lodging and meals. This hunt may be scheduled from 2023-2030. Method for taking the mountain lion is the hunter’s choice. Additional game that can be added is black bear. Fees not included are the license fee of $160 and the tag fee of $75, which can be purchased over the counter.

Where shipping is required, it will be the bidder’s responsibility to pay for the packaging and shipping. Any firearms shipments, the purchaser will have to pay the transfer fees to the FFL dealer and provide a copy of the FFL license to First Stop Gun Shop in Rapid City, SD.

All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds on auctioned hunts, services and/or items, including fishing trips (hereinafter “hunts”).
All such auctioned hunts must be used within the timeframe specified on the donation. If no date range is specified, all such hunts must be used within one year of the date of purchase or work with the outfitter to change the dates of the hunt.
The purchaser (winning bidder) must contact the donor within thirty (30) days of the date of this purchase.
If the purchaser fails to contact the donor within thirty (30) days of the date of this purchase, the donor may consider the donation invalid.
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to contact the hunt and/or services donor immediately, make all necessary arrangements for dates, and submit the application for any necessary paperwork for licenses and/or permits.
SCI-GDC is not, and will not act as, a conduit or go-between between the purchaser and donor.
SCI-GDC has made reasonable efforts to ensure the quality of donated hunts, items, and other services; however, SCI-GDC does not guarantee the satisfaction of the donor or the purchaser.
All donors provided notice on the SCI-GDC donation form, or other supporting documents they submitted to SCI-GDC with their donation, specifics regarding the duration (in days) of the hunt/service and the available date range for completion of the hunt or service offered in the donation. They also addressed what lodging/accommodations are offered and what trophy fees are included with the donation. A copy of this donation form (and/or supporting documents) will be provided to the winning bidder if he/she requests the subject documents formally in writing to SCI-GDC within 12 months of the auction date.
SCI-GDC does not guarantee or warrant that a trophy animal or any animal will be taken during the period of the hunt. Locating or taking an animal of any trophy quality or otherwise is not a condition of acceptance by the purchaser for the purchased hunt.
A person who bids on behalf of another person or group is responsible for payment in its entirety.
Several bid items have undisclosed reserve amounts. The seller or its designee reserves the right to bid up to, but not over, the undisclosed reserve amount.
The goods and services offered in the auction are sold “as is,” including any faults or defects, and without any express or implied warranty or guarantees on the part of SCI-GDC or Safari Club International (SCI). SCI-GDC and SCI make no warranties of fitness or merchantability.
The winning bidder acknowledges that SCI-GDC and SCI cannot be responsible for, or liable for, any political unrest, epidemic, acts of god, or instability that may occur inside or outside the United States, nor can SCI-GDC or SCI be accountable for any injuries or damages that may arise there from.
SCI-GDC. The winning bidder further acknowledges that his/her purchase is final and non-refundable under any and all circumstances.
SCI-GDC reserves the right to add/withdraw any item from the auction line-up.
