AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 9476. Bbl. 5 1/4". Model 600/43 semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Spain by Astra under contract for Germany during WWII. The top of the slide is marked with the Astra logo towards the muzzle, with Astra's mfg. information marked at the rear. Left side of the frame is marked with Spanish proofs, with a German Eagle/WaAD20 proof and the S# marked on the right. Left side of the frame is stamped "UNCETA Y COMPANIA/ 9476" beneath the grip panel. Frame and slide exhibit what appears to be a professionally reapplied blue finish, with the bbl., trigger, and safety lever being polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Half-moon blade front sight with U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. Mag. floorplate has been numbered to match, likely by an armorer during the period. MAGS: two 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster marked "bqr44" above an Eagle/WaA66 on the interior of the closure flap. CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their blue finish, exhibiting some spots of wear and thinning overall. In-the-white parts show scattered spots of age-related discoloration. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Grips are very good, showing some mild smoothing and some scattered marks from handling and storage. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some age-related cracking and light crazing overall. (24-6802/MLW). CURIO. $400-600.
