SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 8370a. Bbl. 4 7/8". P.38 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther for the German military in 1944. Left side of the slide is marked "P.38," followed by the S#, as well as Walther's mfg. code and the 2-digit year of mfg. "ac 44," with Eagle/359 acceptance proofs and an eagle firing proof marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a dull military blue finish overall. Front grip strap appears to have been touched up at one time. Frame is mounted with 2-piece, grooved, brown, pressed resin grips. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide, bbl., and locking block. MAGS: two 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster marked "gxy 1944" on the rear. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their blue finishes, exhibiting some spots of mild wear and thinning, some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as a few spots of light surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting some light surface-level pitting while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Safety lever decocker functions appropriately. Grips are very good, showing some scattered superficial marks from handling and storage. Holster is very good, remaining malleable, exhibiting some wear and scattered marks from handling and storage.
