Mozambique Poacher's Trap

Poaching stands as the worst threat to hunting. Not only does it decimate game and wildlife, it stands as a cornerstone in the anti-hunting communities' argument for total protection of game. And while hunters understand and appreciate the difference between ethically and scientifically acceptable game harvest it is continuously used in an effort to control the dialogue and confuse the topic in the minds of the general public.

Nowhere is the issue of poaching more infamous than in Africa. Since the end of the golden safari age, poaching has developed into an epidemic throughout the continent with some of the most remote and pristine areas being the most severely impacted. African outfitters, ranchers and farmers stand on the most desperate front lines of this ecological genocide, organizing patrols and task forces, removing traps and snares, shutting down illegal mining and forestry operations and husbanding the wildlife they have taken personal responsibility for. With that in mind SW MT SCI is honored to offer an authentic poacher's trap from Mozambique's Coutada 9, which was captured by the anti-poaching forces that are organized by Mokore Safaris and the Duckworth family and it is fitting that 100% of the proceeds that are generated by its sale will be returned to the wilderness areas it was originally seized from to support Mokore's efforts in protecting some of Africa's most vulnerable wilderness.
