Made by J. Stevens Arms and Tool Company, circa 1900. Rifle has floral embossed gold or brass inlay work on right side of stock in "101" design, possibly indicating a connection to the famous 101 Ranch. Rifle also has a highly decorated sterling silver plate as possible protection during saddle use. 25-1/4" blued No. 2 weight barrel in "25-20" with hunting sights and standard Stevens barrel markings. Case-hardened 44 action with plain trigger and standard opening level. Standard walnut plain stocks embellished with "101" markings. CALIBER: 25-20. S/N: 50141. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic.
CONDITION
Overall Fair with metal having a silvery brown appearance. Action has faded to brown. Traces of original varnish with crack in forearm and usage dings and marks. Frosted bore with visible rifling and soft mechanics.
